Corrin is a lead facilitator for Yoga Legacy. She has been practicing yoga on and off for years but was really drawn to it when she had an injury that was only helped by yoga. At that time she really jumped into her own practice and then decided to start yoga teacher training to try to help others. Corrin is an RYT500/E-RYT200 and completed her training with Yoga Legacy. She has specialty Yoga certifications in Children’s, Detox, Hot, Prenatal, Senior, and Yoga Modifications. Corrin has seen how transformative yoga can be and is passionate about sharing it with others, especially children.
Dr. Emily, PT, DPT, RYT was born and raised in NC. She graduated from Campbell University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Saint Augustine. Her clinical areas of expertise include orthopedics, sports medicine, and running injuries. She began her personal practice of yoga over 5 years ago to compliment her running and busy lifestyle. She realized that yoga could benefit her clients through improved movement patterns as well as stress management. Her favorite part about blending yoga and physical therapy is offering clients a higher level of expertise for the body and mind. Emily earned the Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) level training in 2017 from Yoga Legacy, LLC. Her areas of personal practice include: Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Yoga Modifications, Detox, and Hot Yoga, and Stand up Paddle Board Yoga.
Janhavi is an adjunct facilitator. She practiced yoga on a daily basis during her childhood and has come to find a deeper understanding, appreciation, and necessity for yoga in today’s world. She teaches specialty yoga classes such as Senior Yoga (both mat and chair-based), as well as Prenatal. Janhavi finds yoga to be the common link in all aspects of day-to-day life — physical fitness, emotional well-being, and a balanced diet — and wishes to pass on the beneficial effects of relaxation. She is an RYT.
Jenny is an adjunct facilitator for Yoga Legacy. Her love for yoga evolved from her passion for dance. As she became exposed to yoga in her early twenties, she began to discover many similarities. Both dance and yoga provided flexibility, strength, grace, and a creative outlet. She really wanted to dive into yoga on a much deeper level through meditation. Jenny completed her RYT with Yoga Legacy and found her balance between the physical and mental yoga practice. Jenny truly loves to teach and finds that teaching is a collaborative inspiration of creativity. She loves watching her students grow and loves the personal challenge of growth teaching has brought her. Jenny is an E-RYT200 and has specialty certifications in Children’s, Detox, Hot, Prenatal, Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga, and Water.
Kaye is an adjunct facilitator. She initially trained in Hatha Yoga and continued to pursue additional training in various styles of yoga with specialty training and studies with the senior population. Kaye has developed and teaches many specialty programs including Senior Yoga (both mat and chair-based), Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga, Water (Aqua) Yoga, and other yoga programs of various intensities. She respects the wisdom imparted by the ancient yogis while embracing the freethinking mindset that was a common trait in these great masters and continued her studies in Yoga Therapy to continue to help others heal with yoga. Kaye holds both RYPT (Registered Yoga Prenatal Teacher) and RYCT (Registered Yoga Children’s Teacher) certifications. She is also an E-RYT500 Yoga Therapist, registered with both Yoga Alliance and IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists), and serves on the Yoga Alliance Advisory Group to the Standards Committee.
Pat is a lead facilitator and has been a yoga practitioner for over 30 years with experience and training in most types of yoga, as well as Pilates and Barre. Pat has developed and teaches many specialty programs including Detox and Hot Formats, Yin, Yin/Yasa, Mommy & Baby, Chair, Senior, Water, and a variety of Hatha and Vinyasa styles. Pat was drawn to yoga for the meditative aspect and mind-body connection. She appreciates the flexibility of yoga, which allows for adaptation to each individual’s beliefs and lifestyle rather than changing the individual to suit yoga. Pat continued her studies in Yoga Therapy, as her passion is to help others heal with yoga. Pat holds both RYPT (Registered Yoga Prenatal Teacher) and RYCT (Registered Yoga Children’s Teacher) certifications. She is also an E-RYT500 Yoga Therapist, registered with both Yoga Alliance and IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists), founder and owner of Yoga Legacy (an RYS200/RYS300 Yoga School), and served on the Yoga Alliance Advisory Group to the Standards Committee.
