Yoga Legacy 245 Teacher Training Modules

The full Yoga Legacy Training Program will consist of course material broken down into 10 areas (modules) of study.  Yoga Poses will be introduced throughout each module.  Each module will focus on specific subjects and areas of study.  Module 1 will be the foundational course required for all of modules.  Modules are designed to be taken in any order.  This is perfect for participants that are looking for just one area of study, or cannot fit a full training program into their busy schedule and need the flexibility to take it in segments, or the fitness instructors that need CEC’s to maintain their current certifications.   Intensive programs will include all listed modules in the following sequence.  Completion of eight core Modules and a choice of Specialty Modules exceeds the 200 hour minimum requirement of the Yoga Alliance.

Classes are held in a location convenient to Raleigh, Cary, Apex and the RTP area of North Carolina.

The student will need to complete all 8 core modules and select specialties for a 245 hour certification by Yoga Legacy.  This will qualify the student to register with the Yoga Alliance as an RYT200.
The purpose of the Yoga Alliance is to define a minimum level of competency for teachers and schools in the Yoga Community. To become registered with the Yoga alliance as an RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) the student must certify or complete training from a school that complies with the Yoga Alliance Standards.  There are multiple levels of registration that a student can obtain depending on hours of trainings, years of experience and hours of teaching. For a Yoga School or teaching program to become registered with the Yoga Alliance the school must offer the minimum hours and subject matter defined by the alliance.

Courses are presented in various formats, allowing the student to choose the training program most conveinient to their schedule and for their specific goals.
  • Weekend Module Program.  Typically this is offered over weekends - Saturday/Sunday. This training program is designed for the individual, that needs to balance the training with their work and family life and would like to complete the Module over a weekend.
  • Module program.  This is a slower program, for those that cannot schedule a full training program or only wish to take specific Modules.  The student will pace themselves to their own schedule.  This is offered on Weekends.  This program is designed for those that want to experience the training at a self regulated pace or want to deepen their own practice.
  • 18 Day Intensive. This is a weekday intensive, 9 hours per day for 20 days. This is perfect for the student or practitioner that wants to experience complete immersion into the Yoga Lifestyle, and would like to quickly complete their training and qualify for registration with the Yoga Alliance after completion.
