The Yoga Legacy ™ method was developed as a cost effective Teacher Training Program in the study of Yoga. The goal is to provide future instructors with a sound yoga foundation. Our program is designed to offer instructors many options in choosing their own teaching path and style. In our training, we seek to instill the essence of yoga in our future teachers. Strong emphasis is placed on proper posture alignment and accurate pose execution utilizing a safety map approach to the Hatha, or physical aspect, of the Yoga Legacy ™ method.
Yoga in itself has never been a structured program as it promotes self exploration and development. The early founders were considered free-thinkers and most times did not conform to the rules of society or religions. Often they were persecuted and hunted down for their defiance of the laws and practices of authority. In Hatha Yoga, you don’t have to change your spiritual beliefs or incorporate chanting in your practice (though you will learn about chanting, you do not need to include it in your classes). Following this philosophy, Yoga Legacy does not promote, teach or influence the students toward any religion or religious beliefs. We believe that Yoga is for everyone and can be adapted to fit into each individual's belief system.
